New kiddy shock absorber (KSA)

For the first time a children’s car seat has taken proven ‘crumple zone’ technology from the car industry to make an even safer car seat for older children. The KSA – the kiddy shock absorber sits either side of the seat shell and is red in colour. For children over 18kg, it rests against the adult seatbelt when fitted. In a collision the force of impact created which makes the seatbelt go taut, is transferred into the KSA and literally buckles the special crumple zone materials inside. No other car seat manufacturer offers this fantastic new feature which is patented by kiddy.

NEW IMPROVED kiddy impact shield

The original kiddy impact shield has been proven over and over in the highest European tests to be safer than a 5-point harness system even with isofix seats in front collisions as shown by the performance of the kiddy infinity pro and now the kiddy energy pro too. The kiddy guardian pro incorporates the latest version of this system which reduces the risk of serious neck injuries by allowing the force of impact to be dispersed through a wider contact point across the tummy and away from the child. With this system the head does not loll vulnerably as the shoulders are pinned back, but the body moves more naturally with spine, neck and head lilting forward should the car suddenly break, reducing the force through the neck by up to 50%. The new impact shield also contains an extra layer of Honey Comb V2 shock absorbing material to make it even more effective.

IMPROVED side impact protection

The head and shoulder areas in children are especially vulnerable, since the head is still relatively heavy compared to the rest of the body. With the use of the high-performance material we call Honey Comb V2 in the head and shoulder protectors, this important zone is particularly well protected. The shoulder protectors are also shaped specifically to provide the best protection in the event of a crash, which is why they have this unique shape.

One-hand height and width adjustment

The unique adjustment mechanism of the kiddy guardian pro expands the seat both in height and width simultaneously by a simple squeeze of the handle on the back of the seat with just one hand.

2-way baby insert cushion

This ensures even the youngest toddler is seated at the correct height, since this comfortable cushion offers two additional sitting options. It’s secured with press studs and easily removed for a machine wash on a Delicates cycle at 30°C.

Breathable Thermotex fabric

Nothing is more unpleasant than sitting in sticky, sweaty clothes on a hot summer day – and that goes for adults as well as for children. To counteract this we at kiddy have introduced our breathable Thermotex fabric to specific areas of our seats. This material increases air circulation ensuring a comfortable seating environment, making even long car trips enjoyable.

3-stage leg extension

The kiddy guardian pro is characterised by its long useful life, because it grows with your child. The three-stage leg extension ensures that the child sits safely and comfortably with the back and legs well supported no matter how long they are!

Durable cover

The covers available in many variations can be removed and washed at 30°C (Delicates cycle). Dry dirt can easily be wiped off with a damp cloth.

Optional reclining position

To make a journey even more relaxing and encourage your child to take a nap, you can move the kiddy guardian pro to the reclining position in one easy step. Simply pull out the bar at the base of the seat at the back and put it up against the in-car seat when fitting the seatbelt as per usual. Your little one is then tucked in snugly and can feel completely comfortable. (For use up to 18 kg.)
