Hof – 13 December 2011: As of 2012 the three-time World Cup winner and World Champion in show jumping will act as a brand ambassador for ‘kiddy’, the renowned manufacturer of superior child safety car seats, strollers and accessories. During her national and international tournament appearances next year the ‘kiddy’ brand logo on the saddle blanket will accompany her in her success as a world-class show jumper. In interviews and appearances with TV exposure she will sport a ‘kiddy’-branded cap to represent the brand internationally. In close collaboration with Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, ‘kiddy’ will also develop a signature collection. Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum is herself the mother of an almost two-year-old daughter, and she will therefore be actively involved in the product development at ‘kiddy’ from the perspective of a frequently travelling mother with great attention to detail. She pays close attention to safety and top quality. Products must be easy to handle, self explanatory and flexible for ease of use. “My priorities are the same as that of every parent: I only want the best for my child. Trademarks carry the promise of quality. That’s why I decided to work together with this family-owned business and the ‘kiddy’ brand.
The German-American show jumper, born in Los Angeles on 26 December 1969 and married to the show jumper Markus Beerbaum in 1998, has discovered her love for horses and horse riding early in her life. At the age of seven she took part in her first show jumping tournament. The talent of the young girl from California did not remain undetected for long. She has been one of the big names in international show jumping for years. She is a four-time German champion in show jumping and has so far won four gold medals at the World Equestrian Games and European Championships. She is the first woman to reach the top spot in the world rankings of show jumpers. In 2005 she received the media award ‘BAMBI’ for her special achievements.
Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum is considered a role model for women in equestrian sports and she wants to encourage other girls and women: “I came from America and I was a woman. I had to work hard to earn respect. Nowadays nobody in show jumping says ‘she can’t make it because she is a woman’. I think I could contribute something to the fact that this perception has changed.”

The family-owned business based in Hof in Northern Bavaria, ‘kiddy’, which has made mobile child protection its top priority for more than 35 years, has now earned itself a worldwide reputation as a trendsetter in mobile child safety. The innovative child safety car seats, which are characterised by their uncompromising safety, comfort and design, are regularly awarded top grades by the ADAC and the Stiftung Warentest. The seats also carry the ‘AGR seal of approval’ and are recommended by the ‘Campaign for Healthier Backs’ association due to its sophisticated ergonomic design with the ability to grow with the child, comfortable handling, easy adjustment mechanism and lightweight construction. ‘kiddy” hopes that the cooperation with Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum will further promote the awareness and sales of its products. The involvement of the world-famous sportswoman as brand ambassador will heighten awareness of the ‘kiddy’ products among consumers.
The first promotion date on 13 December 2011 at the ‘kiddy’ company headquarters sealed the future close cooperation and the start of an exciting and eventful year for the ‘kiddy’ family-owned business, who wants to keep its ranking among the fastest growing medium-sized family-owned businesses, ‘Bavaria’s Best 50’ in 2012.
