It’s official – car seat manufacturer Kiddy really does have the best range of car seats for babies and children weighing 9kg up to age 12 years. Which? magazine has pronounced two more leading designs ‘Best Buys’ this week. Now Kiddy has the top product in every car seat category after the new baby stage. So in Group 1 it’s the Kiddy Energy Pro, in Group 1, 2, 3 it’s the Guardian Pro 2, and for older kids from pre-school and up in Group 2, 3 it’s the Kiddy Cruiserfix Pro. Parents simply won’t find a better brand!
Which? has carried out extensive tests on two of Kiddy recent models and published the results on their website, declaring both of them best in their class! The Kiddy Guardian Pro 2 was investigated as a Group 1 stage seat, and also separately as a Group 2, 3 stage seat, and came out top in both tests. It achieved full marks for ‘side impact protection’, ‘avoidance of incorrect fitting’ and ‘fitting in car’, and only slightly below full marks in ‘frontal crash protection’.
Which? commented:
“Commonly, if a seat manufacturer tries to cover such a wide weight and age range, the design falls short in at least one area, but Kiddy seems to have really thought it through to make this design work across the range.”
The Cruiserfix Pro, a Group 2, 3 design with optional isofix fittings, was tested in both modes – with and without using isofix, and again led the field in both. Marks of 100% were given for ‘side impact protection’ and ‘avoidance of incorrect fitting’, and just below this with a 4/5 rating for ‘front crash protection’ and ‘fitting in car’. Which? described the Kiddy Cruiserfix Pro as:
“A Best Buy seat covering groups 2 and 3, easy to install, great side-crash safety, good front-crash safety, good padding, high-quality finish, easy to clean”
Kiddy has a great track record for producing award-winning car seats, and is delighted that the immense effort and scientific research that lies behind each design, has been proven and recognized in this way.
Hi,
I purchased a Kiddycruisefixpro car seat two weeks ago from online retailer justkiddingonline.co.uk.
When I went to install seat the left easyfix catch would not stay in and the right easy fix seems to have come out too far but is staying in.
I have had 3 different easyfix seats since I have a four year old and a 2 year old and am used to installing these seats which should not be difficult anyway.
Please let me know what I can do here!
Shamus
Hi Shamus,
It certainly sounds like you have a fault. Please revert to your retailer and ask them to replace.
Best wishes,
